October 2009

Phillies Logo October was yet another quiet month.  In fact, the game that probably generated the most attention was baseball as the Phillies have battled their way back to the World Series.  Go Phils!

November has a few interesting gaming events coming up - see the sidebar for the list.  I know of a few EPGS members that will be heading to EuroQuest and Philcon, so let's wish them the best of luck!  EPGS member Alex Bove is the current champion of the Harold L. Siegelman trophy for the best overall result at EuroQuest.  With any luck, both he and the Phillies will repeat their success this year.

Good Gaming!

Club Location Renewed for 2010
At the October 17th meeting, EPGS president Keith Layton announced that the club has renewed its lease with the Oxford Valley Mall for 2010.  EPGS will continue to have meetings the first and third Saturday of each month in the community room.  Keith noted that there was a slight increase for the lease, from $200 to $210 per month.  Keith assured members that this will NOT result in a dues increase.

The Games We Played - October 2009
Tichu By far the game most often played in October was Tichu, which was played a total of eight times.  This includes six plays at the new Games Keep building in West Chester.  Coming in a distant second with three plays each were Agricola and Dominion, two games that will be events at the year's EuroQuest.
