Heroics - October/November 2001

Club News:

Raffle Winners

There were some big winners as Steve List won $45 in the August raffle and EPGS won $41 in the September raffle.
The winner gets half the money collected for the raffle, with the other half going into the club treasury. Tickets may be purchased from the club treasurer when dues are collected or at any time before the drawing. Tickets cost $2 apiece, $4 for three, or $6 for five. A real bargain!

Club Finances and Attendance

38 paying members and 2 visitors attended the August meeting. $175 in dues was collected. In addition, the raffle added $39 dollars to the treasury. $5 in prepaid dues was used, lowering the prepaid dues balance to $436. Club expenses were $178.20 for room rental and $28.14 for newsletter publication. The club cash balance was up $15.26 to $1588.80

The Changing BACK of the Guard...

In the last issue it was announced that Bob Stribula would be taking over as Heroics editor and that Dave Bohnenberger would serve as publicity officer. That information was incorrect. All EPGS officers will retain their current duties until after the upcoming elections.

EPGS Officer Elections

The November meeting will feature the election of EPGS officers. It is not too late to volunteer to be a candidate. All positions are up for grabs. Please contact Steve Cameron or any of the current officers if you wish to run for one of the following positions:

President
Treasurer
Heroics Editor
Publicity
Webmaster

All officers serve an 18-month term. Note that ALL current officers are either stepping down or are considering running for other positions. Candidates are urgently needed to fill these exciting and rewarding positions!

Extra Meeting to held

Due to popular demand, an extra meeting will be held on November 3rd, 2001 in the Community Room of the Oxford Valley Mall.

$2 will be collected from current members to cover room rental. New members are welcome free of charge, so bring your friends!

The gaming area at the mall is large, well lit and comfortable. Past meetings at this location have been successful and enjoyable. It is likely that more meetings will be held at this location next. More information and scheduled dates will be announced as information becomes available.
