Update:

Mall is comping us for July - both meetings - due to the lack of AC. That saves us $200. And, no my math isn't bad.

Effective July, the room rate is down to $100 per meeting. they got approval to do this when I sent my last note explaining financial reasons for the decrease in meetings. I wasn't aware that they were trying to get approval to get the price reduced.

Given these 2 events, I've set up the contract for us to be at the mall 1st & 3rd Saturday of every month except for August, which will still be the 3rd Saturday only.

The original plan had us spending $1050 for 7 meetings, and asking for 1 meeting comped by mall, club spends $900.

New plan calls for 11 meetings, 2 meetings comped by mall, club spends $900.

I realize this means we need to change what we've put on the web, in the newsletter, etc. But I think it's a no-brainer to go this route. Most members want both meetings, and this allows me to announce this at the next meeting and have everything work out.
